The Authors: The Pepper Garden is written by two experts in their respective fields. Dave DeWitt and Paul Bosland are both held in high esteem in the pepperhead community.

The Book: This book is thought of as THE pepper gardening book. This book starts off with a history of pepper gardening. They also included a useful explanation of the types of pods and pepper species. By chapter four they get to the good stuff, gardening. Starting at the beginning this book covers everything from planning the garden and soil preperation to the harvesting of this wonderful plant. This book provides a wealth of high quality information for the novice pepper gardener. However even the most experianced gardener will find something new and interesting. While this is one of the FEW pepper books that isnt filled with recipies to bulk it up. It does give a few paragraphs to drying, freezing and pickling peppers.

The Review: The Pepper Garden is a highly recomended addition to any pepper library. This is one of the best books in my collection, and no self respecting pepperhead would be caught without it. While i would have liked more colorful photos it is loaded with many black & white photos and drawings. I give this book 5 peppers and I offer you a chance to buy this book while supporting this site in the process.
